About the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+ PA++++
The brand notes that this is a non-nano chemical sunscreen that blocks UV rays, while simultaneously hydrating the skin. Leaves skin with a moisturized, dewy finish.
I dove a little deeper into the research behind sunscreens that do have nano technology and it seems that the current findings on EWG is that “more research is needed to fully understand the extent to which nanoparticles may harm cells and organs if they’re introduced into our bodies. “
Some of the star ingredients are Centella Asiatica Extract (meant to heal and soothe the skin) and Hyaluronic Acids (hydrate and draw moisture to the skin). It was also great to see Niacinamide in the ingredients list - a great anti-acne ingredient that is amazing for combo/oily skin during this time of year.

How to apply the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50
I usually will just rinse my face with water in the morning and go straight into using the SKIN 1004 Centella ampoule and then this SPF since it’s a serum as well.
I usually let it absorb a little before makeup application and it doesn’t make base makeup pill. It has great spreadability and absorbs at about the same rate as other asian sunscreens but absolutely no white cast.
Also not really any scent which is a plus for me! I’m personally not a fan of any scented sunscreens.
It does leave a dewy finish to the skin as shown in the photo below, but if you don’t want the extra shine, I usually will blot with blotting paper in the T-zone area.
Is it good for acne-prone skin?
Yes! I get clogged pores really easily from a lot of sunscreens out there, this one doesn’t seem to irritate my skin at all and is great for my combo skin.
Summing up this SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+ review
If you could call a sunscreen product “gentle”, this is how I would describe the SKIN1004 hyalu-cica water-fit sun serum.
It’s the lightest, most moisturizing sunscreen I’ve ever used and the fact that it doesn’t break me out already has me sold! Highly recommend this product and I personally will be repurchasing when I’m finished!
